As part of its ongoing mission to move inventions created by UW-Madison researchers to the marketplace, WARF offers assistance to faculty and staff who wish to start companies with technology licensed from WARF. This section describes WARF's start-up company policies, as well as the process faculty entrepreneurs typically follow when obtaining a license to technology from WARF.
Access "Guide for New Business Ventures"
To further assist campus entrepreneurs, WARF and the UW-Madison Office of Corporate Relations have prepared "A Guide for New Business Ventures at the University of Wisconsin-Madison." In addition to describing WARF's start-up company policies, the guide provides a road map for navigating the UW-Madison's procedures regarding start-up companies, as well as a list of university resources and outside professionals offering assistance to new businesses.
